ColorStash

by Brian Grinstead

ColorStash lets you pick, convert, save, and share colors and schemes. Use the mobile friendly colorpicker, permissive text parsing, and color scheme generators. Stash colors in localStorage or share them from a URL. Responsive: Custom layouts for widths < 600px and > 1200px to best use the space. You'll be amazed that this is under 10k! Read more at http://www.briangrinstead.com/blog/colorstash. I explain the responsive design decisions and components I built for this project.

OK, the updates are here now! Drag an image onto the page (or select it from the file input) and you can use ColorStash like an eyedropper.

FYI, while waiting for updates to go through, I do have a version with some more features (still under 10K, actually 10,239 bytes :). Most notably, it allows picking a color from a local file by dragging it onto the page. This is available here: http://briangrinstead.com/colorstash/
